KNOPPIX Linux
The KNOPPIX 5.1.1 live CD Linux distribution is configured to boot by default from the DVD that
comes with this book. KNOPPIX is the most popular bootable Linux and offers some unique features
to set it apart from other bootable Linux distributions.
To boot KNOPPIX directly from the DVD, insert the DVD into your PC??™s DVD drive, reboot, and
type the following from the boot prompt:
boot: knoppix
