Mobility impairment
Some people lack the necessary motor skills to operate traditional computer equipment,
such as a mouse. In fact, many users with limited motor skills prefer using a keyboard
exclusively since it requires fewer finite movements and less reliance on hand-eye coordination.
Many people mentally stereotype mobility-impaired people as those confined to
wheelchairs, but in reality, most people in wheelchairs have no trouble using the Web
because their particular disability affects them only below the waist.4
Hearing impairment
Hearing impairment is not a major concern for general HTML-based web design, but it
becomes a definite concern in multimedia development when voiceovers or other auditory
triggers are the only source of direction or content. Also, any type of video content
