8.9.2 Special Requirements
Identify any special requirements that are necessary for the execution of this procedure. These may
include prerequisite procedures, special skills, requirements, and special environmental requirements.
8.9.3 Procedure Steps
Include the following steps as applicable:
??? Log: Describe any special methods or formats for logging the results of test execution, the incidents
observed, and any other events pertinent to the test (see section 8.11 and 8.12).
??? Set up: Describe how to prepare for execution of the procedure.
??? Start: Describe how to begin execution of the procedures.
??? Proceed: Describe any actions necessary during execution of the procedures.
??? Measure: Describe how the test measurements will be made (for example, describe how remote
terminal response time is to be measured using a network simulator).
??? Shut down: Describe how to suspend testing, when unscheduled events dictate.
??? Restart: Identify any procedure restart points and describe how to restart the procedure at each
of these points.
??? Stop: Describe how to bring execution to an orderly halt.
??? Wrap up: Describe how to restore the environment so the test may be begun again.
??? Contingencies: Describe how to deal with anomalous events which may occur during execution.5
8.10 Release Note
This report identifies an item being transmitted for integration or system testing or release to the field.
It includes the person responsible for each item, its physical location, and its status.
