7 Test Design Specification
This purpose of this document2 is to specify refinements of the test approach and to identify the features
to be tested by the test design, and its associated tests.
Refer to the associated test plan, if it exists. A test-design specification should address the following:
??? Software to be tested
??? Testing approach
??? Test identification
??? Test environment
??? Overall pass/fail criteria

Define:
??? The test items by name and release number
??? The features and combinations of features which are the object of this design specification
??? All references to baselines in the requirement or design specification
??? Any hardware requirements individual pieces of software require
