: At present the fastest available connection to the internet for private use is
11 MB. An internet T3 connection is 44.736 MB; an Optical Carrier 12 (OC12) is 622.08 MB. By
the time you read this there will be other standards, thus the Abilene network
(abilene.internet2.edu) is 10 GB. Ensure you have enough bandwidth in your connection that
your figures are not skewed by interference from the company??™s commercial connection. Note
that a few European countries have private 100+ MB connections, due partly to a lack of legacy
technologies to hobble them. Remember: Ms. Jones is still using a 56k modem and she buys a lot.

:

and kiosks. The service(s) available to each medium (as well as the download speed) differs. Here
the issues are screen size, definition, and channel width.
