This means that prior to
forwarding a request to another network, the CSCF must delete the header from the
request.
It can also be used for billing purposes where special tariffs or rates may apply,
depending on the type of access used by the user. For example, the operator may have
a charge for Wi-Fi that is separate from the charge for GPRS. Of course, the billing
systems can then parse this information and apply it in any fashion they like (such
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) 75
as by charging according to the type of session and technology used, and the session
duration).
P-ACCESS-NETWORK-INFO: gprs
P-Asserted-Identity This header is inserted after authentication has been complete.
The URI of the authenticated subscriber is provided in the header as a trusted identity.
The receiving entities can be assured that the identity contained in the P-ASSERTEDIDENTITY
header can be trusted and that this is the true identity of the user.
P-ASSERTED-IDENTITY: travisruss@aol.com
P-Associated-URI Upon registration, the S-CSCF in the IMS (or the SIP registrar in
a VoIP network) can use this header to return any URIs that are associated with the
registration. The association is assigned by the operator, based on the subscription.
For example, a user may have several identities within one operator network based on
multiple uses. There may be one URI and identity used for personal use, while another
is used for work.
