Contact The CONTACT header provides additional address information about a subscriber
and is used to identify additional addresses that a request can be sent to in the
event that the first request fails. When there are multiple addresses identified, the ???q???
parameter is used to indicate the order in which the addresses should be used. The lowest
number indicates the first choice, followed by the next highest, and so on.
The CONTACT header allows endpoints to exchange other addresses that may or
may not be known by the devices. It also allows redirect servers to indicate alternative
addresses being used to route a request to another address.
CONTACT:
Content-Disposition This header identifies how the message body should be interpreted
and treated by the receiving endpoint. There are several additional parameters
that are part of the CONTENT-DISPOSITION header:
?– Session Indicates the message body describes a voice call
?– Render Indicates the message body should be displayed or rendered to the user
?– Icon Indicates that the message body contains an icon that should be displayed
?– Alert Indicates the message body contains a ringtone or other similar alerting
information (this could be part of the 180 RINGING response, for example)
If this header is missing, and the CONTENT-TYPE is application/sdp, then it is
assumed that the CONTENT-DISPOSITION is session.
